The dance ensemble “Codrenii” began its activity in 1952 around the regional House of Culture from Calarasi, and has a rich and beautiful history. About the successes of the ensemble talks all those diplomas and tours made in the country and abroad (Ukraine, Russia, Bulgaria, Germany, Yougaslavia, France).
The ensemble “Codrenii” has a big repertory of dances from the places of forests Moldova, for example the dance of gypsies from Moldova and also Bulgarian dance. Each dance has its costume and goal remains the same, to achieve and collet the choreographic folklore from the place we live in. Talking about the last successes, we can mention the internationalfestival “Звездочка” from Odessa were we own the firsy place in 2006, in 2007 we joined the Days of Svetlogorsc in Balarus, in the same year the ensemble: “Codrenii” have own the first place at the festival “Солнцеб Радостъб Красота” in Bulgaria. In November 2007 we celebrated 55 years since the establishment of the ensemble.
Since 1992 the choregraph of the ensemble is Gheorghe Furculita.
